Yuzvendra Chahal and K Gowtham have returned positive results for COVID in Sri Lanka on Friday (July 30). The duo, along with Krunal Pandya, will remain in the island nation for the time being.
Both Chahal and Gowtham, who were among the group of eight players identified as close contacts of Krunal, had tested negative for COVID-19 on July 27.
Krunal had tested positive on July 27 and taken to a different accommodation. Chahal and Gowtham, along with six close contacts in Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Manish Pandey, Prithvi Shaw, Ishan Kishan and Deepak Chahar, were separated from the rest of the squad but kept within the team hotel.
