Ingredients
- • Onions – 2
- • Green chillies – 3
- • Tomatoes – 2
- • Coconut (grated) – ¼ cup
- • Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
- • Aniseeds – ¼ teaspoon
- • Green gram dal – ¼ cup
- • Cabbages (shredded) – ½ cup
- • Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
- • Salt – as required
- • Chilly powder – ½ teaspoon
- • Oil – 1 tablespoon
Method
- 1. Cut onion, tomatoes and cabbage finely.
- 2. Slit green chillies into two.
- 3. Grind coconut, cumin and aniseeds separately.
- 4. Cook dal with enough water and turmeric powder.
- 5. When it is three fourth cooked, add cut cabbage and cook till it is soft and dal is mashed properly.
- 6. Add chilly powder, fried onion, green chillies and tomatoes.
- 7. Pour the ground mixture with enough salt.
- 8. Mix well and Cook till desired consistency is reached.
- 9. Serve with rice or chapati.
