Announcement of the 69th National Film Awards Updates in real-time: The 69th National Film Awards were revealed at 5 p.m. on Thursday. While Allu Arjun won Best Actor for Pushpa: The Rise, Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon shared Best Actress honors for Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi, respectively. The prize for Best Feature Film went to Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. At the 69th National Film Awards, The Kashmir Files received the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film on National Integration.
Sardar Udham, Shoojit Sircar’s biographical historical drama, received multiple accolades at the 69th National Film accolades. In addition to being voted Best Hindi Film, it also received accolades for Best Cinematography (Avik Mukhopadhyay), Best Audiography (Sinoy Joseph), Best Production Design (Dmitrii Malich and Mansi Dhruv Mehta), and Best Costume Design (Veera Kapur Ee).
The National Film Prizes are the most prestigious prizes, given out yearly to recognize the greatest filmmaking talent in the country. The National Film Awards, according to the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s Directorate of Film Festivals, “aim to encourage the production of films of aesthetic and technical excellence as well as social relevance.”
